RVG Consult (Pty) Ltd (RVGC) is a registered company under the Companies Act of South Africa (Company Registration Number 2022/386984/07). The company was founded in July 2022 after its proprietor, Riaan van Greunen, opted to venture out into new territory, having steered his previous consulting house, CVG Consulting Engineers (Pty) Ltd, as a director since its formation over 23 years ago. RVGC followed as a “start-up”, opening its doors on 1 July 2022, aiming to continue the good work done under the auspices of CVG. Since inception, RVGC benefitted from good support from industry, mainly due to the years of excellent service provided by Mr Van Greunen to his clients, and his standing in industry built up by more than 30 years of excellent service in the electrical engineering industry in South Africa, and neighbouring countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. The company has its head office in the Northern suburbs of Cape Town, South Africa, from where it serves it’s clients country wide, and in neighbouring countries.

The Company’s core focus remains on the design and project management of HV substation and line projects. Having successfully completed numerous projects, the staff has solid knowledge pertaining to the activities required for substation and line designs. RVGC is committed to green energy projects and is re-aligning its visions to become an industry leader in renewable energy projects. RVGC’s proprietor has successfully completed designs for powerlines integration of four wind farms into the Eskom National Grid, and enjoyed successful involvement in other renewable energy projects, including hydro, solar and biomass. RVGC also have dedicated staff to undertake electrification projects and are skilled in the use of Reticmaster and Poweroffice.
RVGC is equipped to undertake projects for both indoor and outdoor applications and has experience in voltage levels ranging from 400V up to and including 400kV.
